A Few Holiday Snaps

I have about a million photo's but these are a few to go with this post as I wasn't able to upload them while I was in Costa Rica.

Colin's photography skills so a bit blurry :)

This was our daily walk to the beach, you can just about see the sea through the trees!

So many stray dogs, they loved to play and frolic in the water as much as the humans did.

Colin ended up practising Surfing more than me, he got quite good too.

Daily smoothie.

Holiday blues have set in a little bit now, please hurry up Summer (she says looking outside to the rain)!!!

We were very lucky to have such an amazing holiday in this current financial climate and we used it to properly wind down and reflect.  Costa Rica showed us a more relaxed way of life which we want to try and achieve in our own lives, some changes will be big, some small but I am very much looking forward to the next chapter.

A favour for Jade.

I think I might have mentioned before that Jade (pic above) is basing her final major project on Jewellery by Vanya.  As part of her project she needs to produce a marketing report so she kindly asked me yesterday if she can host a survey on my blog.

It will only take 5 minutes and would really help her out so if you wouldn't mind please go HERE to fill it out.  It's all anonymous so be as honest as you like.

Thank you in advance.  This business wouldn't exist without all you lovely customers and I'm always grateful for your support.

I'm Home!!

Back to work for me today (slightly jet-lagged), we had the most amazing time in Costa Rica (hence only one blog post-whoops!) and will be putting some photos up here very soon.

In the meantime, I came across a new (to me) blog this morning as I was having a quick flick through the new issue of N.E.E.T.

Blair Eadie (what a great name) is the girl behind Atlantic - Pacific.  Her blog is a photo diary of all of her outfits.  I love her style, the layers of texture and quirky shapes make for some inspiring images.

I love the creativeness that goes into Blair's looks.  Mixing patterns and balancing silhouettes are her style staples.

Go check her out here while I get get back to my emails.

First Week in Costa Rica

Hola! I´ll just start by saying I have no holiday snaps to show you just yet as I can´t find an internet cafe with memory card slots/readers.  I´ll share them when I get home.

We are now in Santa Teresa after taking a bus, ferry, another bus (where Colin got pick-pocketed) and another bus after that.  I won´t dwell on the pick-pocketing, it wasn´t a nice experience but luckilly they didn´t get away with much.  Anyways, all that travelling (including 3 flights to get to Costa Rica in the first place) we arrived exhausted and found a hostel.

Cuesta Arriba is at the north end of a long rocky dirt track full of surf shops, hostels, cafes etc.  The beach is a minute away and we are surrounded by rainforest, regularly frequented by howler monkeys who like to wake us at 5am.  They´re definitely not called howler for nothing!!!

Sufing, swimming, sunbathing, yoga, reading, eating and sleeping have been our main activities.  The beach is beautiful, the people friendly, and the vibe very relaxed.  We love it here!!

On Monday we are travelling south to Manuel Antonio for a few days before coming home on Friday so I will update then and upload some photos.

I hope you are all well and have had a good week.  Sorry if this has been boring without any images.

Ps, check out Jade´s blog.  She has posted about her days with me so far here and here
